I have played bass for 25+ years and have played dozens of instruments and pickups... it amazes me that one of the best-sounding P-bass style pickups I have ever used is so inexpensive. Don't get me wrong, EMGs and DiMarzios are nice for modern sounds but if you want a more smooth, deep vintage tone with big, massive low-end that really thumps and shakes the ground but is still clear and punchy, you'd be happier with these. Might not be the best for slap and flashy high-up-the-neck techniques, but odds are you'd be playing jazz-style pickups if that was what you wanted anyway. If you are more interested in a sound that is solid and intimidating, here you go.Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound P-Bass Pickup - (New)" are high quality item.
