What Is Reverb?
Reverb emulates the natural echo that occurs because of an environment's acoustics. Think of how your guitar would sound if you plucked a note while standing in a big empty gymnasium - the RV400 can produce that sound, even if you're playing in your bedroom!
Superior Sound
The RV600 contains BEHRINGER's Real Sound Modeling (RSM) processor and DSP technology, giving it the incredible power to make your guitar sound like you're playing in a cave, a cathedral, or even the outer reaches of the cosmos. With this pedal, putting studio-caliber sound in your signal chain is easier than ever before.
It's Simple!
Just twist the dedicated dial to select dead-on modeling of Ducking, Space, Cave, Tile, Echo, vintage '63 Spring, Spring, Plate, Room, Chamber and Hall reverbs. Tweak the dedicated Mix, Decay, Time and Tone controls along with the Trails On/Off switch to create reverb that is resonant, abrupt, or just plain otherworldly! The brilliant blue LED tells you when it's working while the top-quality on/off switch preserves the signal integrity in bypass mode. You can power this stomp box with a 9 V battery or a DC power supply (not included).
Value
Why settle for one species of reverb? Plug into the RV600 and bring the whole evolutionary tract along for the ride.
Behringer RV600 Reverb Machine Ultimate Reverb Modeling Effects Pedal Review
So I should start off this review by saying that I did an ENORMOUS amount of research for this purchase. Bradford Cox's use of the pedal initially caught my attention and I have been planning on buying this pedal ever since for over a year now and just finally made my purchase a week ago.I should put a big preface over this review: I'm disappointed.
Pros:
Many effects
Great Paramaters
Dual Input
Trails Option
Blue LED
Cheap
Cons:
Pretty bad sound
Knobs Almost Impossible to fiddle with
Space Feature overrated.
Low End Lacking
The pedal offered some pretty neat features that I really was looking for: a true Mix/Blend, Decay, Time, and Tone knob. It seemed to have everything I needed. I particularly wanted the blend knob because I really wanted to mix and record with this pedal through my Tascam recorders' effect sends. The pedal also seemed to have a pretty cool array of effects that would help me in my playing.
I planned on rehousing the pedal so I wasn't too disappointed by the build quality, which is pretty terrible, but once I plugged in the pedal, I could tell pretty quickly that it was no good. The sound of the reverb is very tinny, and pretty poor sounding. I've only had the pedal for a little bit, but it seems to be lacking the full bass response that most of my other /extremely/ crappy pedals worked so wonderfully for. The sound just wasn't cutting it for me. I tried fiddling with the tone knob but didn't get anything worthwhile. The space feature was especially disappointing, and didn't really have much of a shimmer to it, rather just a really poorly pitch shifted echo. The knobs are so skinny that the pedal is almost impossible to work with, so no editing with your feet is possible.
I am not convinced that reverb is one of those "you get what you pay for" sort of deals, so I'm still looking, but if you're very picky about your reverb, I wouldn't choose this pedal.
If anybody has any questions, feel free to get in contact with me about it!
