I have had these on my guitar now for almost 2 years, and they definitely need a changing. 2 years though. These do not get the finger grime in between the wound strings almost at all, and they last almost 4 to 5 times as long. I love the sound these strings have on acoustic too, makes my garage-sale fender sound like a taylor (ok not really, but it sounds good ok! lol). Overall i honestly don't mind spending more money on these because i have used them for 8 years now, and i know them to sound better than all the others i have tried, and they last way way way longer. Get 'em!
