sound wise it works well on its own in front of an amp that already has some distortion...if you have the wrong pedals with it, the sound will suffer big time...carefully select what pedals you want to use with it, everything makes a difference...the BIG PROBLEM is...i've ordered 2 different ones so far and a 9 volt battery will not fit in either one...you can't get it into the slot at all...the first one i ordered had about half of the battery hanging out because the footswitch board was angled towards the battery compartment...the one i got today...ugh...the battery ALMOST goes in but not enough to put the battery door on...also, getting the battery door open is a pain too...i prefer using batteries...it works ok with the adaptor, but you'd think someone in quality control would have tried putting a battery in before shipping them out...still undecided whether i'll return it or not...tired of having such a silly problem with a pedal...i've been playing for 48 years and NEVER had a problem like this with ANY pedal...too bad, because you can get some nice fat tones out of it if you're into tweaking...really disappointed with the battery issue...
