The Allparts Tremol-No is a patented device that is added to an electric guitar equipped with a tremolo/vibrato unit. It allows guitarists 3 playing options:1) tremolo unit "on" — in this position your tremolo functions as normal. You can raise or lower the pitch of notes with the tremolo unit.2) tremolo unit "off" — in this position, you'll enjoy the benefits of a hardtail bridge, where the tremolo unit doesn't move at all; no lowering or raising of a note's pitch via the tremolo system, and the other strings remain in tune should you break one of them.3) tremolo unit "dive only mode" — in this position, you can only lower the pitch of notes. It was a little tricky to install because I already had springs in the 4th slot but once I got it in I'm pretty happy with it. It is really really nice to be able to tune between standard and drop d and do string bends without the other strings going out of tune. I've found that it will only provide so much resistance so you really need to remember that you have it locked because using the bar still gives you enough leverage to pull the tremolo which will probably wear out the set screws. I've only found the dive only mode to be a little soft so again you have to be a little careful to not accidentally move the setscrew. I think these are two minor things though and once you adjust to it it's a pretty nice system.
