Dunlop Jazz Stubby Pick 24 Pack, 2.00mm/Light Purple Review

Being Lexan, these picks have a nice durometer and give a nice brilliant sound--much like that of a fingernail--even at fairly thick 2.0mm. They have a nicely contoured tip that is very conducive to fast playing. The downside: the texturizing is not sufficient and they become slippery--especially in live performance. Also, surprisingly and disappointingly, they chip-out on the edges. It's like playing with a file. Furth more, the chipping can be severe enough, and with the slipperiness, the pick can snag on the string and get yanked right out of your hand--not good. That said, if you're a guitar player that does a lot of aggressive solos, you'll be going through these picks pretty quick. After going through about half-a-dozen in a night, I switched back to my derlin picks.
