These picks (the 3.0mm) are such a huge component in the tone-chain of my instrument, I hate playing without them. There's an instant response from the plucked string which makes the dynamics feel as effortless as finger-picking. The thickness of tone coming out of my pickups shocked me the first time I used one. They made it sound like I had a preamp and eq dialed in. I receive compliments on my tone from almost every sound engineer who mixes me, and I would say this pick accounts for 50% of the sound quality - the other components are a MOSFET preamp, good pickups (not boutique though), a sting-through bridge, a neck from the 70s, and a tube amp. That being said, I'd rather not support Jim Dunlop - it's nothing personal but I have a beef with big-name companies in general; i think they're mostly responsible for the utter lack of craftsmanship available nowadays - but this is a quality pick and worth every penny.
