Musicians are always on the prowl for instrument cables that are high in quality yet affordable. I may have found the grail with Planet Waves, from D'Addario. I have been very disappointed with other manufacturers, like Fender, Hosa or Whirlwind. I hate spending the huge bucks on cables by Monster or Mogami, although they are excellent.

This cable is constructed very well. I've had it for a year now, and it doesn't show any signs of wear, and I don't baby it. It has very large (thick) molded ends, about 3" long and 1/2" thick. It makes for a robust grip and relieves the strain very well. The ends are gold, the best for conductivity and corrosion resistance, and have a unique compression locking design. I've never had one pop out, but once in awhile I'll think I've inserted the connector all the way without really doing so. That's because you have to push them past the compression springs, and at times I have failed to do so.

The cable is double-insulated for durability and double-shielded for noise resistance. They sound clean, quiet and unattenuated. This is the kind of quality I have come to expect from D'Addario. I will highly recommend them to you. I will be sticking with Planet Waves for my cabling needs.
