Ok, Im a bit peaved here about these.I like the sound, been using Monster Rock Cables for over 10 years and some of the cables are that old without any issues too.
When I got my first 21 footer way back when I noticed that when you unscrew the ends theres some clear plastic impregnated into the cable ends. Thats awesome I thought, that'll keep moisture out and prevent the contacts from stress bending and causing the wires to break. Cool, Im always gonna buy these I thought.
And I have continued to buy them until the present.
Anyway, today I got my rip off 3 foot monster cable. 30 bucks for 3 feet! Anyway, I like the sound of these cables so I was willing to pay the huge price.
So I get it, open it, and unscrew the ends. Not sure why I have the need to do this to new cables but I do.
Unscrewed the end and there aint no plastic in there.
$10 a foot and they cant even put that protective clear plastic in there. None of my 31 footers have it either. Only my 21 footers have this. What is the deal there? Every differnt length monster rock instrument cable has the same ends and the same cable, so why only the plastic in the 21 footers?
Monster cables are high priced to begin with but at least the 21 footers are sort of worth it. Any other length though isnt as "sort of worth it" as the 21 footers....
