JJ 12AX7 / ECC83 Preamp Vacuum Tubes (Three Pack) Review

I wanted to change the chinese stock vox preamp tubes out of my vox ac15c1. After doing a lot of research (first looking at NOS or new old stock tubes and realizing that they were way to expensive right now), I found that these JJ's would give my amp some more cleans (as I really prefer playing mostly in clean) and warmer gain. After installation I have noticed a marked improvement in my amps microphonics (or lack there of--reduced to a very slight hum when cranked up)!
Some have stated that this is not good for a bright amp like vox and fenders, but I think that is all in a matter of taste (I for one enjoy the added brightness in my amp, and love that my cleans are sounding sparkly, but I admit that some will say that it may be to chimey, and for them Tungsols seem to be a good option). While NOS tubes are no doubt superior (I will eventually get some NOS telefukens or NOS teslas), these tubes are a good option for us average types on a budget.
