I don't play bluegrass music -- I play mostly rock, some folk and jazzy stuff. The thing that makes these strings "bluegrass" is the slightly larger diameter of the E and A strings to bring out more of the bass frequencies. These are particularly great if you have a guitar that emphasizes mids and highs, like most of the Taylor guitars that I've played. The added bass that you get from these strings really rounds out the sound -- you still get the Taylor sparkle, but you also get a balanced low end. My Taylor sounds absolutely magical when I string it up with these. Highly recommended, especially at this price.
