If you own a guitar that has a hard shiny finish you want this wax, and you really do not want a cream because creams just lay on the surface and make things slippery until they are rubbed off; in other words, creams are a waste of money on hard shiny finishes.

I first used Gibson Guitar spray polish to clean; then I put a very light coat of this wax on and continued to follow the instructions on the can. I made sure to let it dry throughly, and then I buffed it off with a buffing cloth.

Immediately the guitar had a shine to it that appears as adding depth to the finish, but what I like most is when you feel the guitar it has a solid clean No Slip feel. I have been playing guitars for 35 years and I never new about wax. After I get the guitar waxed, I then rub pure mineral oil on my fret board to keep it healthy, and then I string it all back up.
