I've read that some people can't tell any difference with the brass pins, and some can. Since it's not a lot of money I decided to try a set of these on a Wasburn parlor model(305S) that had the el cheapo plastic pins. I had already installed a bone saddle and a set of D'Addario custom lights and the tone was better. Not perfect, but better. The difference with these pins was not only noticable, it was pretty amazing. The little parlor had a clarity and presence that I'd never heard before. The folks that don't notice any appreciable difference must already have a great sounding instrument. DR Strings DDT-11 Nickel Plated Electric Guitar Strings, Heavy Review

I've got to admit that the hype regarding any new kind of string is always disappointing to me when it comes to the end result. These strings, however, lock it down pretty well.

Sound: They sound great! Not as cutting as Hi-Beams, which is a shame, but they do sound great. The difference comes from a trade off for stability with the round core in the DDT's for brightness with the hex core in the Hi-Beams. You could do far far worse. However, the place where these strings come through tonally is with how tight and articulate they sound for rhythmic playing. Definition and punch for days on your wound strings and they retain a shocking amount of clarity should you feel the need to drop tune. If you do drop tune, do yourself a favor and try a set of these.

Feel: They have a bit of stiffness to them, but in a good way. If you like to tune your guitar down (I play a half step dropped, Eb) but don't like how loose 10's or even 11's feel on some guitars... then this is what you probably want. They feel solid. If you're looking for something with a more lucid feel than what you're used to, these would be a step in the wrong direction. I personally like how they feel quite a bit.

Function: They do exactly as they claim. They hold tune extremely well even right out of the packaging. There is a minor (and circumstantial) downside though; if your guitar nut is cut precisely to the gauge of string you play and plan on buying in the equivalent DDT line then these could be a bit of a snug fit. Sure, they'll fit alright, but my G string which, admittedly, already 'pinged' in the first place does so even more with the slightly beefier G string in the DDT set. That's not a fault of the strings, but a side effect I've experienced nonetheless.

Verdict: I own roughly a dozen guitars and most of them are tuned to Eb and strung with DR Hi-Beams. Chances are these will take over half of my guitars which see more playing time and aren't going to miss the cutting edge from the Hi-Beams. They're fantastic all around.

Levy's Leathers MSS1-BLK Veg Tan Leather Guitar Strap,Black Review

Ok, this is the very best strap I have ever used. I play on several bass guitars, a warlock(unbalanced super bad) and Ibenez 700 erg and eda 900 erg. two have this strap and Im buying a 3rd. Dont bother to waste your money on other straps unless they are made of the same stuff as this one. Its padded, which is a must for long gigs and its leather so it does not bounce. Most important this bad boy does not loose its grip on your guitar. I do not use strap locks and there is no need to have them with these leather straps. Its hard to get it on your guitar. And dont plan on taking it off is my rule. I have nothing but good things to say. Yes it's 50 bucks but its full leather and should last you really your whole life of playing guitar. Why buy a 20 dollar strap and 30 strap locks and still be uncomfortable

Shure WA302 - TA4F to 1/4-Inch Review

These are necessary if you own a Shure guitarist wireless. They are the only replacement cords that fit. Based on the reviews here, and the fact that the one that came with my wireless only lasted 3 months, when I bought this I wrapped it from end to end with 3 layers of black plastic tape. That made it a lot stiffer, and so far it has lasted almost a year. It is starting to short out occasionally, but I hope to get 3 or 4 more months out of it before having to order another replacement. If you need one of these, do like I did and reinforce the entire cord with electrical tape from plug to plug, or you will be needing a replacement very quickly! I play bass and use mine three times a week at church, and at a few gigs in the past year.
