Several years ago I decided to find out just why my G string never sounded mellow like the others and always seemed slightly out of tune and louder than the rest. I was relieved to find out I am not the only one to observe this. Just search the net and you can find many sites that explain why this occurs. The culprit is the unwrapped G string sold in 99% of electric guitar strings. It was not this way in the 50's and early 60's, they were wrapped just like acoustic strings, but in response to players' demands for lighter, more bendable strings, string manufacturers went to a plain G or 3rd string. You can bend them but you can not keep them in tune. Praise D'addario for being the only manufacturer to make the old style string sets with a wrapped G. I will never be without them. One try and you'll be hooked. In tune at last! Yes, a bit harder to bend but you will accommodate quickly. Try them. Take my advise, I am still performing after 45 years of playing.

This stand is stable, holds 3 guitars very well (2 full size electrics and a acoustic full size on it right now).I've not had the stand long but the review that states its a piece of crap is the raving of someone who must be a complainer. Originally I bought another Snark, and liked it well enough. I'd seen this one on YouTube, and thought its little bobble head looked ... kinda silly. But then a friend lent me his for a couple of days, and I really liked the experience of being able to glance over and see if I was in tune. I was hooked. I'll look silly if it lets me stay in tune.

The built-in metronome doesn't have a lot of volume, but it's clearly visible.

You also get a little baggie containing three picks, the carry bag for the tuner, and a battery. Warranty runs for a year. Altogether, I'm very satisfied with this tuner.

JOYO JW-01 Rechargeable 2.4Ghz Audio Wireless Digital Guitar Transmitter Receiver Review

I bought this for $99, shipped free. I use this with my Rickenbacker 4003 bass with amazing tone. So plugging my $2000 bass into a $99 wireless system makes it sound like a $99 bass. Net loss, $2000.

Pro:
- it works
- rechargable
- cheap way to figure out if you'd like to go wireless
- 3-4 hour battery life
- 1/8" mic input if you want a cheap wireless mic system

Con:
- if you have great tone you are proud of, say goodbye to it
- farewell bottom end
- @#$%pfffzzz^&*crrrk!()*&^%^ NOISE!
- volume cut
- easily overloaded by high-output pickups; you'll have to dial it back at the guitar
- since it's rechargable, you can't do an emergency battery swap if it dies
- 1/4 plug sticks right out of the receiver - if you are plugging into a stomp box from the side you risk stomping on the receiver instead

It's workable and I use it, but when the battery eventually dies (and I give them credit for the 3 -4 hours of playing) and go back to my patch cord my heart breaks as I hear the awesome tone of my Rick's custom Seymore Duncan pickups again.

This was a $99 experiment. I found out I very much like going wireless and $99 is what it cost to find that out. Now my budget for a proper wireless system has $99 taken out of it - the difference between a Line 6 G30 and a Line 6 G50.

To sum it up, if you KNOW you want to go wireless, this is not some technological breakthrough that will make $300 - $500 systems obsolete. If you can't afford $300 - $500, well, this is a solution for you. But if you CAN afford it AND you have quality gear, you'll be frsutrated that you didn't buy the right system in the first place.

I've owned many capos and this is hands down the best I've used. I've been using it for about two years now. It's especially great because it can be left on the guitar at all times. To avoid the string bending the earlier review referred to, just slide it, lift it slightly to allow the strings to slip back in to position, and rest it on the strings. It works like a charm.

While many different capos work just fine for acoustic, it's a lot harder to find one that works well for electric. This one does both.

Well, no. But what it does do, it does well.

It's a strap. It stays put on my guitar (and who wants to drop their guitar?), I love the color I picked (nice to have so many to choose from) and it doesn't have silly kid stuff or obnoxious product endorsements all over it. Yeah, it says "Ernie Ball" on it -- in small, tasteful gold lettering -- but just on the ends. Besides, they make great strings so they deserve the modicum of publicity this might afford.

Easy to adjust, too, even while I'm wearing it. No metal buckle so I don't have to worry about it scratching the paint while it's in the guitar case, either.

When I first recieved these strings, they were defective and broke while stringing my guitar. I contacted the company, because this was a defective product. Fender makes far higher quality products than the defective one I received. Anyway, the seller was very helpful, regretful, and sent me a new set of strings free of charge!! That's phenomenal customer service!!! I was not expecting the company to be understanding, and I especially did not expect a free replacement! They definitely went above and beyond. :-) The new strings are quality, and I am perfectly satisfied. :-)
