If you don't have time or patience, or the ability to learn guitar, this is PERFECT! Or it's even perfect until you do complete guitar lessons. There are a few downsides, however: You have to be ginger as you take off and put on the E-Z Chord, as it can break if someone's too rough with it. I learned not to let anyone touch it or put it back on. Two, you can only use this with many songs, but NOT all songs. Also, if you use this in the presence of people who are guitar experienced, they'll be p.o. at you for taking the easy route. But if you don't care how they feel about that, then that won't be an issue. I don't have the ability to learn guitar easily, plus I only intend to write my own music, so for those reasons, I find this easy to use. I moderately recommend this.

I am writing a review on these pick strips because I was hesitant to buy them because there were no reviews. I bought my nephew the Pick-a-Palooza about a month ago. He plays guitar and loves it. But the picks made with the old cards he had around did not hold up very well, didn’t even last a set before they crumbled. I saw these when I got the Pick-a-Palooza but did not buy them. After the other picks did not last, I decided to give these a chance. In short, they are perfect. It is the same material you find in real picks and they work great. The colors are very nice, much better than the pictures show. My nephew loves the picks they make. Anyway, I can definitely recommend these strips and will buy more once he loses all the picks they make. They also arrived in ONE DAY!!! It was really fast.

Ernie Ball 2253 Classic Pure Nickel Super Slinky String Set (09 - 42) Review

The closest thing to it. These are my strings, plain and simple. I've tried many others over my 22 years of playing, and I've decided it's Ernie Ball Classic Rock-N-Roll pure nickel on my guitar or nothing at all. I have learned to protect my supply and order well in advance, as brick-and-mortar retailers often don't stock them and put morons behind the counter who have never heard of them. This despite the fact that they are purportedly the string of choice for such big names as Eric Clapton. The variety of color and tone brought out by these strings is unmatched. Most strings are strings; one's as good as another and they're all as good as the wood they're played on, but these strings bring magic to whatever axe they touch. Don't take my word for it. At $6.85, most any musician can afford this taste-test.
For the record, I've played funk, electric blues, rock, experimental, and crossover thrash metal.

DigiTech RP255 Modeling Guitar Processor and USB Recording Interface Review

This has so many features, I'm going to highlight one I didn't see praised in other reviews. The headphone jack! This might seem trivial, but it means I don't need to lug my amp around to practice. I can just plug headphones into the pedal and practice. Also, I could plug it into the mic port on just about anything to get sounds (home stereo, computer, boom box, whatever.. any powered speakers will do). Heading to a friends? No prob! just bring the pedal + guitar, jack into his 2nd port on his AMP, or just right into his home stereo. Of course, I can still use my AMP if I want to as well..

This is in addition to all the other awesome features: 20 sec loop, tons of popular sounds pre-programmed in, along with endless custom combinations. "wah" on every effect is activated by pressing the volume pedal all the way forward, then just a little more to activate a pressure sensor, and the pedal switches from volume to wah.. slick!

I thought it was intuitive to use out of the box, and figured out most stuff before reading the manual, but had to read it to understand how to program custom effects and change the drum machine settings.

1 very small, negative -- there's no "off" switch. So if you want to turn it off (which it says you should do when not playing for a while), you have to unplug it. I'll probably use a power strip with a button on it to power down everything I use at once, so not a huge issue.
