Peavey Vypyr VIP 2 - 40 Watt Modeling Instrument Amplifier Review

The first Vypyr I purchased was the original Vypyr 30, which was absolutely amazing. The Price was low, it was great for the studio, and perfect for small gigs. Then, I purchased the 60 watt Vyp Tube; It replaced my Vyp 30 as my favorite Amp, it had all the versatility of the original Vypyr, with that warmth and fuzziness of a tube amp. Then, I heard there was a new series of Vypyr set to be released, and I was extremely excited to say the least. I pre-ordered the 40 watt version, and waited. When it came in, I had a field day. The instrument selection optimization is genius, the amp is a work station for acoustic, electric, bass, anything you could imagine. The emulations are interesting, like an old synthesizer board. It gets nice and loud, and remains it's clarity when the volume increases. The Amp selections are uncanny, it's like buying a library of classics. The only thing I miss is the JSX amp model, but they had to sacrifice something. Great Amp, my studio sound is primarily the Vypyr series, highly reccomended.
