D'Andrea PPRO-351 Pro Plec 351 Standard Guitar Pick, 12-Piece, Shell, 1.5mm Review

I've been looking for a better pick than the jazz dunlop 111 for over ten years.

I've spent too much money. Its so boring explaining why picks are important to people who don't believe it. The pick in the guitarists hand is like the sax players mouth (not like their mouthpiece).

Maybe my technique is terrible (i play be-bop style jazz) but I spend most of my time when I'm playing trying to hold onto my pick - and getting upset because my guitar sometimes doesn't sound very nice (I'm trying to be as technical as possible here 'cause I know I'm addressing experts). This honest to goodness prince of picks solves both - totally fundamental - guitar problems at once. I feel about twenty five percent better at playing the guitar with this in my hand. And the guitar sounds about twice as 'nice' (sorry about these technicalities people, just concentrate and you might keep up).

I've spent seventy and eighty dollars on a single pick. I've bought streams of picks at fifteen bucks each - trying out the different shapes and materials offered by the manufacturer.

I've got the D'Andrea pro plec designed for jazzers on the way - its thicker (i hope) and smaller too - that might be even better. What a pick that would be - better than this!!!

I would love to put the pick down and play more with my fingers but I just can't stand to give up the full strong sound I can get with a pick. This thing helps me articulate better and at the same time makes every note smoother and fuller - and its really easy to hold onto.

If your playing a five hundred dollar guitar you would do about five times better (you'd improve your performance, that is) by changing to these picks than you would by spending five thousand dollars on a guitar. Of course if you're already playing a five thousand dollar guitar you're gonna find out what a twenty thousand dollar guitar ought to sound like.

I'll be buying a bag a month for a while so I can't run out of them ever. To run out of these picks would be like a sax player waking up to discover that the only mouth he could find to play his sax with was a bad mouth that didn't work properly at all. Yes.
