Sound clearer, more pronounced, they last longer, and they do not wear on my fingers near as much.

If they are easier on my fingers, then in theory they should be easier on the fretboard, and frets.

Don't let this fool you though, they are very strong strings.

Though since it is Cobalt (a toxic, and radioactive material) I always wash my hands after playing, even if its only a tiny amount.

Use these on my 7 string Loomis guitar (standard tuning)

The case was not as padded nor as sturdy as I needed. I have seen other gig bags
equally as light but with styrofoam padding which is stronger and more protective.
The manufacturer needs to be more detailed in his description of the padding. I had to return it but I am sure it might the needs of others.

VOX AC1RVBASS Miniature Battery Powered Bass Guitar Amplifier Review

To be clear, I bought the bass version.

The feature set of the amp is nice, and the rhythm tracks are a fantastic feature not found on any other micro practice amp I've seen. It even has a (low E) tuner.

It takes 6 AA batteries (cheapies included), but it can be powered by a 9V ac adaptor from any of your pedals that you might have lying around.

This item didn't work well for me. What I found was that even with the drive switch set low, my bass (a Jazz Bass loaded with two humbuckers) caused the sound to be significantly distorted even at the clean settings. I think it was just too much output for this little amp and its speakers.

If you have a passive bass and want a practice tool that gives you rhythm patterns and battery/AC power flexibility, this might work.

Dunlop Big Stubby Pick Packs, 3.00mm/Dark Purple Review

These picks (the 3.0mm) are such a huge component in the tone-chain of my instrument, I hate playing without them. There's an instant response from the plucked string which makes the dynamics feel as effortless as finger-picking. The thickness of tone coming out of my pickups shocked me the first time I used one. They made it sound like I had a preamp and eq dialed in. I receive compliments on my tone from almost every sound engineer who mixes me, and I would say this pick accounts for 50% of the sound quality - the other components are a MOSFET preamp, good pickups (not boutique though), a sting-through bridge, a neck from the 70s, and a tube amp. That being said, I'd rather not support Jim Dunlop - it's nothing personal but I have a beef with big-name companies in general; i think they're mostly responsible for the utter lack of craftsmanship available nowadays - but this is a quality pick and worth every penny.
