Yeah, I hear that all the time from friends when they see the .38 gauge Claytons I use. I've been using them for the last 20 years and not about to stop. I even ordered specialty .38s with logos from them 4 years ago. I gave up 'tire iron' pick back in the day; just felt like they were dragging too much against the string and slowing me down. With these, I get a clean, articulate pick attack that doesn't rasp against the strings. If I need a harder attack, I'll slightly bend it...but I've been doing this for years, so it takes a bit of getting used to.
