I have been hooked on Elixirs since they came stock on my Ibanez SR700. I now own a 2012 Fender American Deluxe J-Bass (the Ibanez sucked as far as bottom end). These strings last FOREVER! No worrying about boiling, cleaning, soaking in denatured alcohol, or any of the other "home remedies" to put life back into strings. By far, the best bass strings on the market as far as brightness, durability, and life. They may be a bit more expensive than other strings on the market, but the long life makes them worth every penny. As far as customer service, I had gotten a new set where the Nanoweb coating was peeling after one gig -- one email to Elixir and a brand new set was shipped to me and received in 3 days at no charge!! THAT, my friends, is customer service - what more can you ask for? I've used almost every string on the market and I was a die-hard Rotosound user, but found the RS's went dead after 2-3 gigs -- Elixirs keep their brightness and tone for at LEAST 6 months.
