Bear in mind that I'm not a professional musician, just an amateur. That being said, from my experience playing classical guitar, these sound quite good. I've used them on two guitars, one a very nice old Martin, and two, a really beat up garage sale find. They work fine for both purposes, and lend a fairly soft, even tone to the instrument. I found the treble strings to be perfectly decent, and not too thin sounding at all. I haven't had any problems with breakage, and they seem to break in rather quickly, so I'm perfectly happy with these, and will probably be using them again.
