I have been a big fan and long time user of Shubb capos. They are well made, work like a dream and they don't stick out on your guitar neck like spring loaded clip types. The only draw backs to a Shubb is that they are a bit heavy and they do require 2 hands. This new Fender capo is light weight, only requires one hand to put on or remove and nothing sticks out . It's made of plastic but seems durable. It probably won't outlast my Shubbs, but it is an ingenious design that I am really enjoying. One person complained it didn't feel secure enough, but I don't find that to be true. It's gentle on the guitar neck, but yet secure and just tight enough .

I'm a DiMarzio Cliplok guy at heart, but when my new bass came from the factory with stripped screws in the strap pins, my options were either to drill them out or try a different strap. I took the chance on this guy and despite the ends being plastic, it feels very secure and rugged. The locking mechanism is great - I'm not sure how it would hold up to gigging, but as a bedroom shredder this is exactly what I was looking for. It stays put, the strap is very comfortable, and plenty adjustable for me at 5'11.

I'd buy another one.

I got this to support my Yamaha mixer when I do live events such as the Open Mic at the local Arts Center. Since I need to set up quickly and can't depend on a small table being available at the venue this works perfectly. The adaptor mounts to the rear of the mixer using two thumb screws in less than a minute and the adaptor screws into the top of the mic stand. I set it up so that the mixer controls and leds are easily accessible and visible while I'm seated in the audience so that I can adjust controls during performances. Works great.

I heard these little amps on You tube, but was not prepared for how they sound in real life. It sounds more like a high end stereo than a guitar amp. The effects are top drawer. It just over all sounds fantastic. The darn thing makes you want to practice. By the way, I play through a Roland AC-90 but if the Yamaha had a line out to go to the PA I would use it all the time.

Seymour Duncan TB4 JB Model Trembucker Pickup - (New) Review

Before buying this PU i read a lot of reviews. Some said it was a hot metal pickup other said it was bright. I find this not to be the case. As a mater of fact, I purchased this because of the way it sounded on the Seymour Duncan web site. I was looking for a smooth sounding PU with a little heat, and I think that's about what it is. I put it into a mahagony guitar with a maple top (Carvin DC127) with an SH2 in the neck, and I have coil split switches on both PU's. I also have another DC 127 - alder wood - with TB6 and SH6n.

I use the guitar with the TB4 for stuff that is more mellow, R&B, light to moderate rock, and the TB6 for the heavy stuff. The TB4 is kind of high output, but not close to the SH6. The TB4 has a good sound, not harsh, especially not bright sounding. Those who say it is good for metal must have there drive turned way up, in that case, yes, it would be good for metal, but I find this pickup to sound good through a nice clean setting (I have a Carvin V3 combo and Digitech GSP1101).

I had to make a few extra settings on my setup to boost the output of this guitar when using both the TB4 and SH2n in combination because the band drowns me out, not so with the TB6 (even in single coil mode). But that said, it is a nice PU, better than the ones that came on the Carvin. And there is a wide range of sounds I can get with the different combinations of settings using the coil split switches.

Pleasantly surprised with the quality and workmanship on a $5.00 guitar strap. I was expecting a lot worse. I have several very nice leather straps but they all have the strap-loc system. I needed a simple strap for three guitars that have strap buttons that cannot be removed or replaced. The Planet Waves simple woven nylon strap works perfectly. The portion that attaches to the strap button is leather and all the adjustment rings are made of smooth, rounded black nylon and quite sturdy, plus they won't scratch your guitar . I'm using this strap on a Turner Renaissance RS-6 and two Yamaha Silent guitars all of which are very light in weight. This strap is probably best suited for acoustic guitars. With solid body electrics, I would think the heavier weight guitars would cause the strap to dig into your shoulder since there is no padding. For my intended use, it's very comfortable, well made, and a real bargain for the price. Couldn't ask for more.
