While this device seems well-made, it has a couple of serious issues:
1) It puts so much torque on your strings, with iPhone 4 in place, that the treble E is almost lifted out of the nut such that it doesn't play properly. This is on a high-end Strat-style guitar. I assume that problem goes away with a nut-side string lock gizmo as in the photograph, but that doesn't help me.
2) The swivel mechanism doesn't allow the iPhone to be positioned for direct viewing.
A minor issue is that the universal spring-loaded clamp allows some play in the iPhone positioning.
The first two issues were enough for me to return it.
