I'm a Elixir string user, and thought I'd try these. They have more friction than I'm comfortable with. Their tone is pretty good, although the basses to my ears aren't as bright as Elixirs. I won't discourage you from buying them if you're searching for a new sound and are sold on coated strings, but I don't think they're superior to Elixirs.
