The Dean Markley ProMag Grand™ XM Zero-Hum Humbucker Acoustic Soundhole Pickup, originally developed for studio recording, is now available to everyone. The Grand XM is the result of a patented coil configuration. The goal, when designing the Grand, was to keep that same great sound of the Dean Markley ProMag Plus, while doing it with a silent Humbucking coil. Works with steel string guitars, will not work with nylon string guitars. The Dean Markley ProMag Grand XM's patented coil design is what allowed Dean Markley to reach their goal. The Grand has the same rich sound as the Dean Markley ProMag Plus while having up to 15 times less hum than any of the competition. With a real maple wood housing and an ebony grand piano finish with the Dean Markley signature emblazoned in gold, the Grand sounds and looks great. This is the external mount (XM) version of the Dean Markley ProMag Grand soundhole pickup. This pickup includes a short pre-wired 24" cable that ends in a standard female 1/4" jack housing that attaches easily to your strap button, and allows you to use your existing 1/4" instrument cable (not included). The ProMag Grand XM allows you to leave the pickup and jack installed even when putting your guitar back in its case, and can be easily removed as needed.
